Question:

what does a salt test strip reading of 1310 mean for a 14ft pool mean?

Answer:

Do you have a salt chlorine generator (producing chlorine from salt)? If so, your level is low as it should be around 2500 to 3000 ppm. If you do not have a chlorine generator and are adding chlorine other ways (tablets, granular, liquid) then the salt level really means nothing. There is likely salt in your source water and the by-products of most of the chemicals that you add will increase the salt level. Therefore, this is a pretty common level of salt in a typical swimming pool.
