We were just given a larger above ground pool and would like to get everything ready so that we can use it next summer. I know that we can buy new pieces to hold the liner in place, but my husband is concerned about the rust that exists on the metal walls. I have looked around to find some answers, but would like an honest opinion about whether or not it is worth investing in the liner and other miscellaneous parts we will need to make this work. We already have a filter that we can use so we can avoid that expense. Can we set this up and then coat the inside and outside of the walls with something to help prevent more rust? Should we even bother with this or just invest in a brand new pool?
I am a CPO and have a 28000 gallon therapy pool kept at 92.5 degrees. My bromine level for the past three weeks is struggling to keep up. We are seeing a bather load of around 240 per week. I am using a non chlorinated shock every week to help manage the high volume. My ORP is reading appropriately, but it is almost as if something is blocking my bromine. We have auto feeders so the level is regulated. Anyone have any ideas why this may be happening? My Ph is 7.5 and my alkalinity is kept between 120 and 150.
I have an inground pool & live in Illinois. I shock on a weekly basis when doing my weekly maintenance, the chlorine level is fine through out the summer months. In the fall of the year, the chlorine does not hold more than 2-3 days. The pool is crystal clear.
I have an 80,000 gal pool chlorine level is .5 how much liquid chlorine do i need to add to bring it up to proper range, ph is currently 7.4
I just cleaned my above-ground pool cartridge filter. The pleats were covered with a powder blue residue that washed off with the hose, but pooled on the ground — the only blue things I’ve had in the pool are one blue noodle (new this season) and a solar cover that looks like blue bubble wrap, which I am using for the third season in San Antonio, with temps around 100 degrees the past few months. Could the solar blanket be deteriorating?
Do you need to shock a pool with a salt water system. I am going nuts with back and forth answers yes, no, yes, no. What do I do??? Please help. Thank you
