my pool guy sold me something last year that raised all the organic debris from the bottom. It worked very good. Even a piece of roofing paper 3 feet long came up. Now my pool guy is out of business and I was wondering what it was I used? Any ideas?

Perhaps a chemical "flocculant" that combines smaller particles to aid in filtration?
