I’m new to having any kind of pool, we just got a bestway round above ground, 12ft, 1485gal pool with the inflatable ring. Our backyard isn’t really level, so we found the most level spot and added some mulch to try and even it out. It’s now filled with water, but the water is higher on one side than on the other. The ring is also not circular, but oval. The instructions scared me about having it burst, do I need to drain it?

Answer:

The major concern is with sharp edges and turns that could more easily be affected and loose some of the strength that a perfect circle provides. Oval can be of concern if there are like areas. You should not have creases or abnormalities in the shape.
