Converting is not as difficult as you might think. The main cost is in the salt chlorine generator and the installation. After this, you only need to add salt to the water to bring it to the ideal level to create chlorine. An above ground salt system probably runs you somewhere around $1000 installed, probably less if you are handy enough to install it yourself.
