Answer:

You should only need to add conditioner periodically as water is lost to splash out and fresh water is added. Conditioner (also known as stabilizer or cyanuric acid) does not get depleted otherwise. Also, if you are using a stabilized chlorine you should not have to add any conditioner to the water.
