I shocked it (twice) clarified it (twice) and used algecide (twice) changed filters frequently and ran filter for hours to clean it. It could be a couple of things. 1st it could be metals like copper which are often active ingredients in algaecides. This can be addressed with a metal removal chemical. It could also be something from the heavy rain like some sort of pollutant. Rain can also rinse contaminants into the pool from lawns, etc. for both of these you may want to have nitrate and phosphate levels tested.
