I noticed the water looked a little cloudy and sure enough, when I checked to see if there was any chlorine in the cartridge, it was empty. I have since replaced with a new cartridge and I used 2 1lb bags of shock and swim to the pool, it is still cloudy. It’s been running for about 6 hours now. Any suggestions?

It sounds like you are on the right path. A clarifier could help to speed the clearing process, also make sure your pH is in the appropriate range, if high or low can prevent the water from clearing up.
