Question:
I am a first time pool owner and I have a 12X35 above ground pool and i have used a super shock on it because it was really green. I just checked the levels and they read PH 8.5 Chlorine .5 and Bromine is 1. The pool is still cloudy and light green. What should I do to fix this problem.
Answer:
You will still need to add some chlorine to get it into the right range of at least 1 ppm. Also, you do not have bromine if you are using chlorine, make sure you are reading the correct line, probably total chlorine and free chlorine. Last, you may need to add an algaecide as well to help get rid of the green cloudy water.
