Question:
All test show that pool water is perfect but pool is so cloudy you cannot see bottom. Added calcium as directed by pool expert but still no change.?????????????????????
Answer:
The addition of calcium can leave the water cloudy for some time after the addition. Was the hardness level low and that is why calcium was added? High calcium levels are often responsible for cloudy water conditions. It could just be that the water needs time to equilibrate after the addition of the calcium. Also, keep an eye on the pH to make sure it does not drift high, which can also contribute to cloudy water. Target the low end of the pH scale now for best results (7.2 - 7.5).
